Kitchenware

Most of us have used a wooden utensil in the kitchen.  A serving spoon or fork purchased at Walmart, a butter knife or spatula at William Sanoma, a Mortar and pestle picked up at a local garage sale.  More than likely these were mass produced somewhere far away.

Kitchenware created by J.J. begin with odds and end pieces of wood laying around the shop.  He often uses a bandsaw to ruff out the shape and then carving tools and sandpaper to complete the piece.  A food safe oil completes the wood’s natural look.
